By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 20: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has clarified that those found guilty in the Tikapur incident will be punished as per the law.

Addressing the question raised by the Member of Parliament (MP)’s in the meeting of a House of Representatives (HoR) on Thursday, PM Prachanda said, “The Tikapur incident is a painful incident where irreplaceable causalities were witnessed. Those who were proven to be culprit in the incident will be punished as per the law. The issue of granting amnesty will be based on law as well.”

Saying that the government is serious about ensuring the rights of the communities who have been left behind including the Tharu community through economic, and social empowerment, the PM said the government has been running various programs through periodic planning, yearly plans and policies and budget allocation.

"There is no doubt that all the people's representatives have an important role in the process of discussion and approval by the prevailing laws, laws, budget formulation guidelines and systems when the government formulates the periodic budget", said the Prime Minister.

Saying that there was an expectation that there will be enough discussion while formulating the budget in policies and planning but due to irregular proceedings of the Parliament the budget formulation process did not go as expected, however, the PM said that the consistency in the budget has been maintained with thorough discussion to all parties in issues mentioned at polices and planning.
