Province Assembly member Bhandari takes oath of office and secrecy


Sudurpaschim, May 9: Daman Bahadur Bhandari, who was elected a Member of the Sudurpaschim Province Assembly from Bajhang district through the April 27 by-election, took an oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.     

Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari administered the newly elected Assembly Member Bhandari the oath of office and secrecy at the Province Assembly secretariat.     

Bhandari was elected from the CPN UML by collecting 11,612 votes.     

With his entry, number of UML members in the 53-member Province Assembly has reached 11 while Nepali Congress 18, Maoist Centre 10, Nagarik Unmukti Party 7, CPN (Unified Socialist) 4, RPP one and an independent one.(RSS)
