By Our Correspondent,Gulmi, Apr. 8: More than 600 people have received health services in the free health camp organised at Dhurkot Rural Municipality in Gulmi.
Prem Khanal, chief of the health section, said that a one-day health camp was held at Dhurkot Basic Hospital, and 458 women and 202 men received health services in the health camp.
According to him, 189 people have taken services in general medicine, 180 in Orthopaedic and drug diseases, 92 in Gynecology and 73 in pediatrics. Similarly, 47 people have received services for dental health and 79 for mental illness, he said.
Various wards of Dhurkot Rural Municipality as well as citizens of Isma and Madane Rural Municipalities have also taken service in this camp. The citizens are seen as happy to get the services taken from Palpa and Butwal in the village.
Bhupal Pokharel, Chairman of the Dhurkot Rural municipality, said that the rural municipality has organised the camp targeting the health services of the citizens.
Consultant Physician of Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal, Dr. Shambhu Khanal, Senior Pediatrician Dr. Bipin Khanal, Head, Drug and Psychiatrist Dr. Asim Regmi, Orthopaedic and Neurological Specialist Dr. Ramesh Aryal, Dr. Sudip Bhandari from Bhim Hospital of Bhairahawa, Dental Surgeon Dr. Sushil Pokharel, Medical Officer Dr. Shriram Panthi provided specialist services free of cost, said Bharat Jung Chhetri, working in Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
