blog

By Janarjan Khatri,Sarlahi, Apr. 7: With the expansion of the market area in Parwanipur of Lalbandi Municipality-16, the Ward Office has started collecting garbage from the market area free of charge. Ward Chairman Ganesh Bahadur Thapa informed that the garbage is collected twice a month, every first and last Saturday, from every household and shop free of charge.

An arrangement has been made to collect non-degradable waste and manage it within the ward, said Thapa.

While locals manage degradable waste as fertilizer in their fields, non-degradable waste is often discarded in the streets. Therefore, tractors collect such waste twice a month from every household and shop.

The ward office is initiating the “One House, One Plant” campaign this year. The Ward Office has announced that plants will be distributed to every household during this monsoon season, he informed.
