7000 to participate in Right to Protein race

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 22: The third edition of the ‘Right to Protein’ race will take place on March 23. The Nepal Veterinary Association has announced that over 7,000 individuals will participate in the event. 

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will inaugurate the race, which will begin at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor. 

The race will pass through various locations in Kathmandu and end at the stadium. The competition includes an open half marathon, men’s 10 km, women’s 5 km, boys’ 5 km, girls’ 3 km, and wheelchair races. 

The winner of the half marathon will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,33,333, and an attractive cash prize has been arranged for the top five finishers. 

The Nepal Athletics Association is providing technical support for the competition, which is sponsored by the United States Soybean Export Council and supported by the Nepal Dana Association, Animal Services Department, and National Sports Council. 

In the previous edition, Dinesh Adhikari won the men’s title, while Phulmati Rana won the women’s title.
