By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 19: The issue of the party Vice-chair Krishna Bahadur Mahara was discussed at the meeting of CPN (Maoist Centre) party officials.
The arrest of Vice Chair Mahara was discussed in a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, on Tuesday morning.
In a press conference, party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the issue of Vice-Chair Mahara’s arrest was discussed in the official meeting. The decision will be made after another sitting of the party meeting.
Police arrested Vice-Chair Mahara in relation to the gold smuggling case. The Kathmandu District Court has allowed to investigate by giving an extension of four more days to Mahara.
He said, “We have thoroughly discussed Mahara’s case. We have seriously discussed every aspect of it. The discussion is underway. We will soon a conclusion about this issue.”
He said that the matter of Mahara’s arrest has been discussed in various aspects and the next official meeting of the party will officially decide on Mahara’s issue.
