By Gyanu Pangeni,Madhyabindu, Apr. 27: Blacktopping has been completed in all places except Daunne on the eastern section of the Narayangadh-Butwal road section.
Work for road safety and greenery to make the road attractive is currently being done in the areas where blacktopping has been completed.
Black and yellow curves installed for road safety can be seen in various areas of this road section from Gaindakot to Arunkhola.
The yellow and black lines (curves) on the sides of the road and on the dividers help drivers see the road boundaries clearly at night or in fog. These structures, built for road safety, have also made this stretch of road more attractive.
Work is also under way to mark white and yellow lines to separate lanes. The road, with markings and curves, has given the appearance of a modern road and has also enhanced its beauty.
Work is currently progressing rapidly on this road section, which has reached the final stage of construction, with the aim of making it manageable and safe, along with beautification work.
Currently, road marking, greenery development and construction of drainage structures are under way at a rapid pace. Locals have started planting and maintaining flower plants in the greenery area.
According to Engineer Shiva Khanal, Information Officer of the Eastern Section of the project, the project will plant dubo (Bermuda grass) in the greenery area. He informed that this work will be done during the rainy season.
Khanal said that work is currently in progress to manage the greenery area and fill it with soil. Khanal also said that work is also under way to construct drainage structures to solve the problem of water logging during the rainy season.
He informed that work is underway to construct drainage structures, especially in forest areas and hilly areas, as the possibility of damage to roads will be reduced after proper drainage of water and ease of traffic operation.
Local Prem Poudel said that the Narayangadh-Butwal road section has now entered a new phase of beauty, safety and structural improvements. Poudel said that once the road construction is completed, it is expected to make travel easier, safer and more attractive in the coming days.
