By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 29: Saroj Ojha, the presenter and director of the Sachetana Programme on NTV News, was honoured with the 'UPAA Award 2023' by the Uttar Pradesh Artist Academy of India recently.
He was honoured in the 30th edition of the award for his contribution to the field of communication.
According to the organisers, Ojha has been active in the production of television programmes including print and online media for the past two decades.
In previous editions, actors and filmmakers including Anil Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Abbas Mastan, Sameer Anjan, Farooq Sheikh, Bhagyashree, Rahul Roy and cricketer Piyush Chawla had received the 'UPAA Award'.
Ojha has also been involved in the production and broadcasting of ‘Bal Awaaz’, ‘Business Info’, ‘Namaste Nepal’, ‘Pravasi Ko Sandesh’, ‘Adarsh Parivar’, the first cooking reality show in Nepal ‘College Chef Icon’, and the comedy tele-serial 'Kura Matra Bho', apart from ongoing Sachetana Programme. He has been working on documentaries as well as script writing and direction.
He also received 'Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023' in Mumbai, and Human Rights Award 2023 in Lucknow. Also, he had bagged 'UNPKFC Humanitarian Award' from the United Nations Peacekeepers Federal Council headquartered in Thailand in 2021 and 'MSN Excellence Award' in Egypt in 2019.
