Basnet’s ‘The Plea of Mountain’ screened at COP

BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, Dec. 10: A documentary titled ‘The Plea of Mountain’ covering the impacts of climate change in Nepal was screened at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai, the United Arab of Emirates. 

The documentary, screened on Friday, highlighted climate change-induced disasters and losses in various regions of Nepal including Manang, Mustang, Helambu in Sindhupalchowk, Melamchi, Phuksundo in Dolpa, and the floods in the Tarai and Madhes region.

The documentary was written and directed by senior journalist Bal Krishna Basnet.
