Juvenile arrested on a charge of rape

By Dhirendra Prasad Sah, Rajbiraj, June 9: The police have arrested a child on a charge of rape.

The young boy was taken under control from Beriyar Chowk, Kanchanrup Municipality-8 of Saptari for raping a 16-year old girl.

According to Bijay Karki, police inspector at the Saptari district police office, the boy was absconding after raping the victim girl at his elder aunt's house at about 10 am on 6 June.

He said the perpetrator was arrested on the basis of the victim's mother's complaints and that the case has also been registered on the same basis and investigation being carried out.

Inspector Karki said the Saptari district court has remanded the child into custody for three more days for further investigation.
