Jajarkot earthquake update

28 deceased identified in Rukum West

By Raju Lamichhane, Rukum West, Nov 4: Out of 35 deceased in Rukum West from the Jajarkot earthquake 28 person's identification has been ascertained. 

According to DSP Namaraj Bhattarai of the District Police Office, 18 deceased were from Aathbiskot Municipality and 10 were from Sanibheri Rural Municipality.

They were identified as Shila Kami, 35, Sirjana Kami, 13, Riya Kami, 9, Diya Kami, 6, Asha Kami, 4, and Alisha Kami 18 months from Aathabiskot Municipality-11. 

Similarly, the same municipality's ward number 11 Sanibarkhu's Ramesh Pun and Dil Bahadur KC, ward n. 14's Basu Budha, Amrita Jaisi, 30, Bhawana Jaisi, 5, Dipen Jaisi, 2, Sarita BK, 12, Madan Gautam, 13 and Kare Nepali, 83 were killed in the earthquake. 

Rukum East's permanent resident driver Kismat Pun Magar, 30, residing in rent at Athbiskot Municipality -15, Bardiya district's Khadka BK, 47, who were Rukum during the work and Anil BK,36 were killed.  

Similarly, resident of Sani Bheri Rural Municipality -1 Chaina Nagar Dhanbir Pun, 31, Chumnima Pun, 28, Yamaraj Pun,8, Sitam Pun, 2, ward number 2's resident Manisha Pariyar, 12, ward n. 4's Santada Damai,25, Krishna Pariyar,6, Nirjal Chand,8, Rejan Oli (Regan), 10 months and ward n. 1's Saraswati BK, 60, was also killed according to the police. 

A total of 128 people have been reported dead in Jajarkot and Rukum West in the earthquake that took place last night. So far, 155 people have been found injured in both districts.
