37 killed due to earthquake in Jajarkot
By Basudev Sharma, Kathmandu, Nov 4: At least 37 people have
been killed in Jajarkot district alone due to the earthquake that occurred Friday
midnight.
Dambar Bahadur Singh, Chairman of Jajarkot Hospital
Development Committee, informed that out of those brought to hospital, 37 have
been declared deceased and that injured are being brought to the hospital.
A strong earthquake
measuring 6.4 magnitude with epicenter at Rami Danda of Jajarkot had jolted the
western region at 11:47 PM on Friday. The major tremor was followed by other
smaller ones within an hour measuring 4.8, 4.2 and 4.3 at 12:08, 12:29 and
12:35 AM Saturday.
