Senior journalist Jha receives award
Birgunj, Aug 18: This year's 'Subodh Singh Memorial Journalism Award' has been presented to senior journalist and political analyst Chandra Kishore Jha.
The award established in commemoration of photo journalist Subodh Singh carries a purse of Rs 51,000 and it was conferred on Jha amidst a programme here Friday.
It was presented on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Birgunj-based Prateek daily in the presence of Birgunj Metropolis Mayor Rajesh Man Singh. The Mayor announced that the local government would contribute to increasing the fund for the award. (RSS)
