Trishuli (Nuwakot), April 19: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr Bikram Timilsina has said that the time has come for the civil service mechanism to change and support the political changes following the GenZ people's movement.
In a discussion with the heads and representatives of government offices in the district at the District Administration Office here today, Minister Dr Timilsina made it clear that delays and excuses in service delivery will no longer be tolerated. Urging everyone to understand the essence of political change, he said that everyone should introspect on why the new government was formed.
"What we are working for is not for political gain but for the service of the nation," said Minister Dr Timilsina. The current government is built on the foundation of transparency and accountability and hence either the duty entrusted on the civil servants must be completed responsibly, otherwise, should give the way for someone else.
He also shared that the current parliament and government have started preparations to quickly formulate the necessary laws to remove the obstacles in the flow of public service delivery. Minister Timilsina suggested that the 'Zero File' campaign be made result-oriented by making weekly, fortnightly and monthly progress public.
During the discussion, Chief District Officer Shambhu Prasad Regmi and the heads of various government offices were present.(RSS)
