Koshi CM calls for all-party cooperation to overcome crisis

 BY LILARAJ KHADKA,Birtamod, Aug. 13: Koshi Province Chief Minister (CM) Uddav Thapa said that the provincial government was currently facing a crisis. 

He said that there was no other option than for all parties to come together to overcome the crisis. 

Speaking at the 14th Campus Assembly organised on Saturday at Kankai Multiple Campus in Kankai Municipality, Jhapa, CM Thapa said that the provincial government was struggling for the stability and was in between political crisis and economic challenges. He said that such problems were causing the province to lag behind other provinces. 

He urged all political parties to unite and cooperate with each other. Stating that the former CM had called for an all-party government to solve the problem, he said this government had also called for an all-party and consensual government.

CM Thapa said that the Provincial Assembly had been adjourned for an indefinite period after the 

budget came through the ordinance in Koshi province and that the present government was working to address the situation. 

He said that at present situation, it would not be possible to achieve majority government and even if the government reached the majority, it would not be enough for the stability and development. 

He pointed out a need for a consensus government.
