By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 11: Nepathya, a folk rock band, gave an electrifying concert at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, Japan, captivating over three thousand fans.

According to a press statement issued by organiser, Nepalaya, the concert began with the vibrant tones of ‘Ghininini tininini ghininini’. Shortly after, lead singer Amrit Gurung sang ‘Koshi Pani’, accompanied by the energetic melodies of keyboards, guitars and drums. The audience's enthusiasm soared when ‘Bheda Ko Oon Jasto’ was performed.

The band then transported the crowd into a nostalgic trance with their evergreen hit, ‘Chhekyo’.

In a heartfelt moment, Amrit connected with the audience, reflecting on Nepathya's three-decade journey. “Our journey, enriched with countless memories—from musical highs to moments of parting—has roots in this very land of Tokyo,” he reminisced. During the performance of ‘Aanganai Bhari’ visuals from the early days of Nepathya were displayed beside the stage. Starting promptly at 6:30 pm local time, the concert offered 16 songs and two music videos over a span of more than two hours.

Supporting Amrit were musicians Dhruv Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on the keyboard, Subin Shakya on the bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on the guitar, and Shanti Rayamajhi on Madal.

Following their successful stint in Tokyo, Nepathya will next enchant audiences in Fukuoka at the Fukuoka Civic  Hall on August  12.
