Rijal comes up with new Gaijatra comedy

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 4: Comedian Shiva Shankar Rijal popularly known as ‘Joginder’ has come up with his latest comedy ‘Luchha- Chhudi’ just weeks before the upcoming Gaijatra festival. 

With a clear objective to provide pure laughter and enjoyment, ‘Luchha- Chhudi’ is all about serious issues like corruption and Nepal’s territorial rights with a humorous twist on OSR's YouTube channel.

In ‘Luchha- Chhudi’, Rijal does not shy away from discussing controversial topics. He critically touches upon the results of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly elections held in November last year, scrutinising both the leaders who lost and won.

His ‘Gaijatra Koseli’ also includes a parody song. For over two decades, Rijal has been offering his comedy gifts known as the ‘Gaijatra Koseli’ festival.

‘Luchha- Chhudi’ is the 21st edition in this tradition. Earlier, Rijal won over audiences with ‘Gathabandhan’ and then with ‘Lockdown’.

This year, Rijal is joined by Prakash Ojha, Karnaraj Giri, and Radhika Hamal who perform in the parody song. 

Rijal, who views Gaijatra as a golden opportunity for comedians, hopes the audience will embrace his latest offering. 

Currently, Rijal is preparing for his ‘Gaijatra Tour’. The tour, extending from Chitwan to Kanchanpur, is set to feature several renowned comedians.
