By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 2: The government has decided to give approval to table the Federal Education Bill in the House of Representatives for endorsement. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Singha Durbar, on Tuesday evening took a decision to this effect.
Speaking after the meeting, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said that the Cabinet meeting decided to table the Bill in the Federal Parliament after its approval from the Cabinet.
Minister Sharma, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the issue of lumpy skin was also discussed in the meeting. She said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development was given authority to prepare a proposal for the arrangement of compensation to the affected farmers.
Similarly, the Council of Ministers decided to approve the grant assistance of Rs. 202.2 million to be available under Global Environment Fund (GEF) to Nepal as per the proposal of the Ministry of Finance to implement the Livelihood Improvement Project and Restoration of the degraded watershed and livelihoods of Lakhandei River Basin through Sustainable Land Management.
Minister Sharma said that the Cabinet meeting gave approval to the first amendment to the Regulation relating to Advertisement-2080 B.S.
