Chhiring Sherpa making debuting in silver screen from Karsang

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 24Chhiring Sherpa, the winner of ‘Dancing Star Nepal Season 2’ and a Guinness World Record holder, is all set to make her debut in the silver screen with ‘Karsang’.

Actors Dayahang Rai and Buddhi Tamang are doing the lead roles in the film to be directed by Yam Sherpa and produced by Yarsa Films. 

Chhiring's notable achievement includes setting a record for choreographing and performing a dance at Kalapathar, a location standing at an altitude of 5,600 meters above sea level.

Previously, she had  performed in various Sherpa community music videos and films. 

The movie will be shot at  Barhabise Municipality and various areas of Bhotekosi Rural Municipality, as announced by the production team. The film is said to be a social narrative of the Sherpa tribe. 

The supporting cast and technical team are yet to be finalised, and will be decided through auditions in the coming days, informed the film unit. 

According to the production team, following the announcement of Dayahang and Buddhi's involvement, there has been a surge in demand for overseas rights to the film. The shooting is scheduled to commence post-Tihar.
