Chinese national arrested in connection with gold smuggling
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 20: The Department of Immigration arrested a Chinese national in connection with the gold smuggling from Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday.
Director General of the Department Jhalak Ram Adhikari said that Chinese citizen Lingchuan was arrested while he was going to China. Adhikari added that Lingchuan is suspected to be the boss of the seized gold.
DG Adhikari said that the arrested Chinese citizen was handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation. The Department seized around 100 kilogrammes of gold from Sinamangal on Wednesday.
