Minister Modi gifts Dhaka Topi to Ban Ki-moon

BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, July 6: Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Aman Lal Modi has gifted a Nepali Dhaka Topi (cap) and a lattice window (Ankhi Jhyal) to Ban Ki-moon, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the Ministerial Conference being held in Busan, South Korea. 

The former Secretary-General attended the conference as a keynote speaker. 

On the occasion, Minister Modi praised the support and assistance received from the United Nations during Nepal's peace process. "Regarding the peace process of Nepal, I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the Government of Nepal for your continuous support and cooperation when you were the Secretary-General," Minister Modi said, according to a statement issued by his secretary. "The Government of Nepal always expects your positive support and cooperation."

The former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also praised the achievements of Nepal. He said that he had a good memory regarding Nepal and was always ready to provide necessary positive support to Nepal.
