Govt initiates new approach to governance: DPM Shrestha

By Our Correspondent,Dolakha, June 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha has announced that the government had embarked on a fresh approach to governance. He made such remarks while speaking at a discussion programme with industrialists in Charikot, district headquarters of Dolakha, on Saturday.

He emphasised the government's commitment to combat corruption impartially, regardless of political affiliations and power of the person involved in the corruption.  

DPM Shrestha assured that people’s concerns and aspirations would be prioritised, reflecting the government's dedication to serving the people.

In response to concerns raised by businessmen regarding the operation of all vehicles departing from the Kathmandu Valley at the New Bus Park, Gongabu, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha pledged to engage in discussions and make decisions according to the convenience of the public and transport industry. “Any decisions concerning the bus park will prioritise the convenience and needs of the general public,” he assured.

Recently, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has decided to operate all long, medium and short-distance vehicles heading outside the Kathmandu Valley only from the New Bus Park, Gongabu.
