NA adds one more flight to Resunga

By Our Correspondent,Tamghas, June 14: Nepal Airlines Corporation is conducting two flights every week to and from Resunga in Gulmi district. 

So far, the state-owned flight operator has been flying one day a week. 

As regular air services are being started from the district, the number of passengers has, of late, increased significantly. Although it is an 18-seater aircraft, 60 to 70 passengers have been demanding tickets to fly from here on every Friday.

Khil Dhwaj Panthi, Mayor of Resunga Municipality, informed that the flight of Nepal Airlines will add one day of the week and fly on Wednesdays as well. Now there will be two flights from the airport on Wednesday and Friday.

The fare from Resunga airport, located at Simichour of Ward No 10 of Resunga Municipality, to Kathmandu is Rs. 6,300 per person. Similarly, a fare of Rs. 6,500 rupees has been fixed from Kathmandu to Resunga flight.

The flight from Kathmandu to Resunga  will take off at 6:30 AM and return to Kathmandu from Resunga Airport at 7:45 AM. The air journey in this route is of about 50 minutes. 

The airport's runway is 520 meters long and 20 meters wide. The facility is spread in over 156 ropanis of land.
