Chargesheets filed against eight at Special Court

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 22: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a chargesheets against eight individuals at the Special Court on Friday.

According to a statement issued by the CIAA, the chargesheets was filed against officials of the survey office for their corrupt activities while mapping lands under the then Gothatar and Mulpani Village Development Committees. The chargesheets have been filed against the then chief of Chabahil-based Survey Office Durga Das Maharjan, Survey Officer Rabi Shankar Pandey and Surveyor Ram Narayan Yadav.

Similarly, the CIAA has also filed the case against the then chief of Chabahil-based Land Revenue Office Bishnu Prasad Kafle and Uttam Kunwar, a non-gazetted first-class officer. 

Likewise, the chargesheets  mention that Yogendra Acharya, a resident of Kamal Rural Municipality in Jhapa, and Sitaram Adhikari and Nabin Dahal, residents of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu, were also involved in the corruption together with the survey and land revenue officials.
