By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 20: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against a non-gazette first-class officer and a legal writer on a charge of taking bribes from a service receiver.
Bhola Dahal, Spokesperson of the CIAA, said that a charge sheet has been filed in the Special Court, Kathmandu against Ram Krishna Pandit, a non-gazette first-class officer of the Department of Land Reform and Archives, Jaleshwor, and legal writer Subash Chandra Lal Karn of Land Service Center, Jaleshwor, Mahottarai for bribery.
A team was sent from Office of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Bardibas for inquiry on the basis of the complaints received about bribery from clients during the transfer of land during which Pandit and Karn were arrested. They had already taken a bribe of Rs 9,000 from the service receiver at the time of the arrest.
