Damauli, April 19: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said a journey of good governance, development and prosperity has already begun in the country.
Addressing an election assembly organised jointly by the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (Unified Socialist) in Bandipur rural municipality-1, Dumre in Tanahu on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dahal expressed commitment to complete the journey of good governance and prosperity.
He shared construction of Muglin-Pokhara road would be expedited taking into consideration the problems facing by the people due to sluggish progress in the road expansion drive.
The government would help complete the drinking water lifting project in Bandipur, he pledged, sharing the bridge being constructed at Ghumaune connecting Tanahu and Chitwan would be completed within a year.
PM Dahal mentioned that the government was committed to resolve problems of Dalits and indigenous nationalities. He further expressed the belief that a study would be carried out to establish the Cultural University at Devghat, the popular religious and historical site.
Prime Minister Dahal also announced to appoint Govinda Bhattarai, the candidate of ruling alliance from Tanahu-1, as a minister after his victory in the election race as he is known for societal transformation.
Also speaking on the occasion, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said they would take the responsibility of development in Tanahu.
He expressed commitment that they would accomplish all development project proposals envisioned and presented by NC candidate Bhattarai before the Tanahu residents. He urged the voters to make Bhatatrai victorious in the election so that the country could cash in on his capabilities.
Also the former Prime Minister, Deuba announced that Bhattarai's aspiration to build a modern hospital and establish a central university in Tanahu would be fulfilled.
Likewise, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal mentioned the existing alliance was committed to fulfill the people's wish to take the country's politics to right path.
"The people of Tanahu should make a right decision in April 23 by-election", he added.
Also the former Prime Minister, Nepal further said, "We are committed to resolve the people's problems. Politics has no value if it cannot know and diagnose people's pains".
He expressed the belief that the alliance would be successful in driving the agenda of good governance and alleviating poverty.
Similarly, former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai mentioned that a goal has been set to prepare bases of good governance and prosperity by stabilizing the government.
Saying the people have to think on the issue whether to lead the country towards instability again or to form a stable government, he added that Bhattarai's victory was necessary for good governance and prosperity.
A common candidate of the alliance, Govinda Bhattarai of the NC, claimed he was well-aware of the problems of every community being a person who was born in Tanahu and had started political career from the vary place.
He further said he was aspiring to to take leadership to resolve every problems facing by the folks of Tanahu.
Likewise, Co-Chair of the Janata Samajbadi Party Rajendra Shrestha shared that a time has come to evaluate political and non-political personalities in the election.
NC Central Committee member Dhurba Wagle, CPN (Unified Socialist) leader and lawmaker Krishna Kumar Shrestha, NC central committee members Surendra Pandey and Shankar Bhandari presented benefits of making the alliance candidate victorious in the election. (RSS)
