Strong And Stable Cabinet

blog

The current Council of Ministers has gone through an overhaul with the addition of several new faces, indicating the government’s increased commitment to delivering people-focused programmes. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's confidence in his newly-appointed ministers has been bolstered by the inclusion of important coalition members, which is anticipated to bring about speedy and effective governance. This cabinet reshuffle holds a promise for a more consistent performance from the government, presenting an opportunity for it to complete development works in a record-breaking manner. The PM on Friday added 11 new members, including a deputy prime minister and 10 ministers, to the cabinet. The fact that coalition allies including the CPN-Moist Centre, Nepali Congress, Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN-Unified Socialist, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and Nepal Samajwadi Party have integrated themselves into the government is a positive sign that the government has received much-needed stability this time around.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress, the coalition's largest party, has yet to send four of its party members to the remaining portfolios it has granted under the portfolio sharing scheme. Rabi Lamichhane's Rastriya Swatantra Party, despite extending its support to the government, refrained from joining it. Now, the opposition will consist of the CPN-UML, the RPP, the Nepal Peasant and Worker Party, and a few independent lawmakers. The new ministers are anticipated to bring new ideas and views to their ministries, and it is anticipated that their appointments would result in a more streamlined and effective administration. Since Prime Minister Prachanda assumed office three months ago, the government's ability to carry out its duties has been hampered by the fact that numerous ministries lacked ministers as a result of Prachanda's decision to leave the UML-led coalition and join the current alliance.

The Prime Minister, who spoke at an event in the city on Friday, exuded confidence that his administration now has the much-needed stability following the induction of new faces into the cabinet, which would enable it to have a positive influence on economic development. According to PM Prachanda, he is working in a way that will allow the nation to feel proud, as a number of large-scale projects will be completed and important far-reaching decisions will be made. The new ministers in charge of finance, commerce, and home affairs are expected to play a significant role in advancing the country's economic development since the nation urgently needs economic growth to rectify abnormalities identified in the economic and financial sectors.

These ministers are expected to transform the nation's fiscal policies for the better and draw in outside investment thanks to their experience and knowledge. Together with other ministries, the newly-appointed ministers for health, education, and agriculture are anticipated to significantly enhance the nation's entire system of public service delivery. The expansion of the cabinet has solidified the present ruling coalition, with expectations that new ministers will speed up government activity and eliminate the inconsistent performance of the administration. As a result, not only would the current administration be stable, but also the political system as a whole. The government may now anticipate fulfilling the goal of creating economic prosperity and social justice after achieving crucial political stability and consistency.
