PM directs Agriculture Ministry to forward new proposal regarding pesticide MRL in vegetable

Kathmandu, March 1: Prime Minister Pusha Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed
the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to prepare new proposal regarding
publication of the standard of maximum residue limit (MRL) of pesticides in
vegetables which is based on the provision in Food Act 2023 (1967) (7) in Nepal
Gazettee.
The press release of the Ministry of
Agriculture and Livestock published on March 1, confirmed that PM Prachanda has
directed to forward the new proposal to the Council of Ministers at the earliest.
The
press release stated that the ministry has been preparing a new proposal after the
PM's directive.
