Five construction companies blacklisted

Kathmandu, Feb 20 :  The Public Procurement Monitoring Office has blacklisted five construction and supplying companies for abandoning their contracted projects without completion. The companies have been blacklisted as per the Public Procurement Act, 2063, said the Office in a notice today.    

The blacklisted companies are Engineers Construction and Mint Craft Pvt Ltd based in Bharatpur-4 in Chitwan district, Jaya Gadhimai Construction Pvt Ltd, Guna Construction Sewa and Kalpana Construction Pvt Ltd. These companies have been blacklisted for one year while Mudbhari and Joshi Construction Pvt. Ltd. for two years.    

Engineers Construction run by one Bikash Shrestha had abandoned construction belonging to Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality in Chitwan.   

 
Khairahani Municipality in Chitwan district recommended the blacklisting of Jaya Gadhimai operated by one Sita Ram Chaudhary. Mudbhari and Joshi run by one Karan Kumar Mudbhari had stranded the construction belonging to the Rasuwagadhi hydropower company. Guna Construction operated by one Gunaraj Pathak had left the construction belonging to the Durgalaxmi Multiple Campus in Kailali in the lurch. Similarly, Barabardiya Municipality recommended the blacklisting of Kalpana Construction.    

"The blacklisted companies cannot participate in any procurement process until the period they have been blacklisted for," according to the notice. (RSS)
