Basanta decorated with ‘Best Work of the Year’

Birtamod, Feb 20 : Jayandra Prasad Prasai Sahitya Kosh has presented four talent awards.

 The awards included The Best Work of the Year,  Bishnu Padma Chandra Special Talent Award, Best Female Journalism Award of the Year and Differently-abled  Award were presented amid a programme held in Birtamod.

‘Jayandra Prasad Prasai, the Best Work of the Year’ award was presented to  Basanta Basnet, author of the 

novel ‘Mahabhara’. 

Among the literary works published in the year 2078 BS, the ‘Mahabhara’ was recognised as the ‘best work’ 

of the year.

Similarly, Pawan Rajbanshi, an artist and journalist was presented Bishnu Padma Chandra Special Talent Award and Prajan Ghimire was awarded with the ‘Dhanmaya Best Journalism Award of The Year’. 

The awardees were presented certificates, medals and cash of 

Rs. 25,000 each. 

Similarly, Secretary Rajendra Prasai informed that Chandra Prasad Bhattarai, a resident of Biratpokhar, was awarded with ‘Differently-abled  Award’ that carries a purse of Rs. 11,000.

Established in 2002, Jayandra Prasad Prasai Sahitya Kosh has been honouring and awarding the best writers and journalists every year.
