Gorkhapatra journo Chaudhary selected for Yadu Memorial Journalism Award

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 13: Gorkhapatra journo Lok Bahadur (Lucky) Chaudhary is to be honoured with Yadu Memorial Journalism Award.

Rudra Khadka, member secretary of the award recommendation committee, said that Chaudhary has been selected for the award.

Before joining the Gorkhapatra some 13 years ago, Chaudhary was involved in journalism in his home district of Kailali for about 12 years as the editor of the first Tharu vernacular daily 'Hamar Pahura.'

 Surya Thapa, a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) is the coordinator of the award recommendation committee while Tirtha Gautam is the member.

Chaudhary will be handed over the award amidst a programme on March 5.
