Flower expo to open at Jawalakhel today

Kathmandu, Oct. 20: Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN) is organising the 15th Godavari Flower Exhibition 2022 in the Jawalakhel playground from October 20.  With the Tihar and Chhath festivals just around the corner, the four-day exhibition is being organised targeting Tihar, the festival of flower and light, according to the FAN. 

The exhibition will start from October 20 and continue till October 23.   

‘Let’s decorate our house and surroundings by planting Godavari’ is the theme of the exhibition this year. The main objective of the exhibition of Godavari (chrysanthemum) is to easily provide flower and promote the Godavari flower commercially, said FAN.  The exhibition will have a total of 55 stalls including 49 commercial stalls, two competition stalls and four informative stalls in the four-day exhibition.   

Min Bahadur Tamang, president of FAN, said that around 2 million Sayapatri, 300,000 Makhamali and 25,000 Godavari flower garlands will be consumed in Tihar festival.
