Aug. 20: Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has
urged all to keep social organizations away from party politics.

Timilsina said so while addressing a Teej Special Programme hosted by
Parbat-Bihadi Gaupalika Sewa Samaj, Kathmandu today.

Chairman viewed that social, and community organisations such as the Bihadi Sewa
Samaj are meant for strengthening emotional unity among people from
different walks of life. Therefore, party politics should be avoided in such organization
as it could affect unity.

Timilsina expressed hope that the Sewa Samaj will also contribute to the development
of the Bihadi Rural Municipality in addition to providing a public forum to assist
each other in times of pain and pleasure for the people originally from Bihadi
area and presently staying in Kathmandu.
He also
greeted all the sisters with best wishes on the occasion of the upcoming Teej
festival.
Tika Ram Sharma, Chairman of the Parbat-Bihadi Guapalika Sewa Samaj, said that the
Sewa Samaj was founded for a social cause and that its activities will be for
consolidating the emotional bonds of the people from Bihadi area.
Speaking on the occasion, Yamkala Sharma, vice-chairperson of the Sewa Samaj and coordinator of the Teej Special Programme, viewed that the programme was for providing an opportunity for the people from Bihadi to know each other, share joys and difficulties and thus develop a social, emotional bond.
The programme featured dance competition, musical chair in addition to singing and dancing by the participants themselves.
