By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 8: Nepal Telecom (NTC) has implemented a new arrangement for its prepaid service, extending the validity period of its 28-day packages to 30 days.
According to NTC, the validity of its “Combo-299 Pack” was increased from 28 days to 30 days, in effect, on Tuesday night.
The decision came into immediate effect following discussions between Minister for Communication and Information Technology Bikram Timilsina and Nepal Telecom.
Acting Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Rina Dangol, said that one of the existing 28 day packages has already been converted into a 30 day package.
She further said that all packages under this duration will be converted to 30 days by April 24.
The new provision is expected to directly benefit NTC customers.
With the implementation of this system, customers will now need to recharge only once a month, making the service more convenient to use.
In addition, customers will receive two extra days of service at the same price, allowing additional use of data, voice, and SMS services.
According to the minister’s secretariat, the move is also expected to make expense management easier and increase consumer satisfaction.
This service update by Nepal Telecom is being viewed as a consumer-friendly reform, and it is also expected to make the telecommunications sector more competitive and dynamic.
