Alliance both out of fear and compulsion: Senior leader Paudel

Chitwan, Aug 14 : Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel has said that the alliance among the five political parties is a result of both fear and compulsion. Speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union Chitwan here today, he said that if Congress does not go for the alliance then other parties will do it.    


Leader Poudel said that the need of the hour is to forge an alliance. Going for the election alone and forming an alliance later is also possible, leader Paudel said but added that the current need is to go ahead together.    


Regarding the allocation of seats, he said the decision will be taken based on the potential of the parties on the ground level and looking at the public opinion below.    


 In response to a media query, he said it will be the decision of the party on who would be the next prime minister of the country after the elections but added that it was not yet the time to announce it.    


 On a different note, the NC leader said that since the parliament has already passed the Citizenship Bill the President should not stop it. (RSS)
