Leader Koirala vows to make efforts to unite NC

blog

Kathmandu, April 4: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that he would make maximum efforts to unite the party.

Inaugurating the 18th annual general meeting of BP Memorial Community Cooperative Hospital on Saturday, Koirala said that he was in favour of uniting the NC instead of standing for and against.

Koirala made it clear that he was not in any of the groups of the party, adding that his aim was to make the NC united.

He viewed that NC's failure to visualize the people's expectations and new political wave led to the party's poor presence in House of Representatives (HoR) from the March 5 elections.

NC preparing to impart orientation to central representatives

Meanwhile, the NC is preparing to impart orientation to the central representatives to be deployed in the election constituencies for the party's upcoming 15th general convention.

The orientation to the central representatives being deployed in all 77 districts was given in the party central office today.

Talking to the media after the orientation programme, NC general secretary Pradip Paudel said the central representatives will distribute and update party membership, and prepare situational report of the organization by visiting all the constituencies in 77 districts by the month of Baishak 2083 BS.

The party will also hold interactions with the intellectuals and professionals in the national level and will conduct review programmes in the district levels.

This time the NC is preparing to issue the party membership through digital medium. (RSS)
