By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 5: Speaker of the House
of Representatives (HoR) Dol Prasad Aryal has expressed commitment to perform his
duties by staying completely impartial, fair and neutral.
While assuming the office at Singha Durbar after the
swearing in, Speaker Aryal said he has a deep understanding about the value,
neutrality and impartiality of the position of Speaker.
He said that the present HoR was the mandate of the
special election of this year and that the people were the strongest opposition
of this time.
Speaker Aryal viewed that the session should
specially belong to the opposition.
He said he would take step for ensuring that the
oppositions have a respectful environment for raising issues.
"For many years, we have had no chance to find
good news in the news media. I urge Nepalis around the globe and the friends in
media to think, speak and write positive things for at least two years,"
said the Speaker.
Saying that the HoR was mainly for making laws, he
said he would extend support to government for making the laws. He urged all to
come forward with proposals of solutions as well, not only the problems.
