Makawanpur, Aug 3 : Traffic has been obstructed in various parts of the Sisneri road section in Makawanpur district due to a rain-triggered landslide on Tuesday night.
The landslide that occurred at
Ramchandra Bhanjyang at Indrasarobar rural municipality brought vehicular
movement along the road section to a standstill, informed District Police Office,
Makawanpur.
DSP Tek Bahadur Karki shared that
the vehicles have begun using the alternative roads instead of
Kathmandu-Bhimphedi-Hetauda Road (Kanti Highway) disrupted due to a landslide.
Preparation was underway to remove
landslide debris and resume vehicular movements on the road by today afternoon,
according to the police post at Sisters.
Likewise, the Muslin road section has
been disrupted by landslides due to landslides last night. Vehicles plying the
roads at noon have been allowed to enter Kathmandu on a priority basis via
Tribhuvan Highway.
Night service vehicles are banned
on the road section of the Highway due to security concerns. (RSS)
