Nepali Traditional Painting: Craftsmanship "was made public amid a program
organized on the premises of the Academy in Naxal on Friday. The book was written by veteran
artists, Man Bahadur Dong, Purna Prasad Hyoju and art writer,
Devendra Thumkeli.
K. K. Karmacharya, Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine
Arts launched the book published by the Department of Traditional Arts under Nepal
Academy of Fine Arts in a program organized on the premises of the Academy.
Chancellor Karmacharya said that importance has been
raised in the book. The book," Nepali Traditional
Painting: Craftsmanship "written by veteran artisans is filled with intense
knowledge and covers interesting issues.
He said," The ways and statutes of the traditional
way of the artisan are included in the book, which is not possible without having
studied about it. I believe that this book will be fruitful to researchers,
artists, students, and experts in the art."
Gopal Chitrakar, Vice Chancellor at the Nepal Academy
of Fine Arts said that this book came as an important work in the field of art.
He said," The Book," Nepali Traditional Painting"
is fruitful in gaining sound knowledge about the original traditional
art."
