One dead, 10 injured in Kalikot bus accident

By Prem Raj Simkhada, Kalikot, July 21: A person has died while 10 others have sustained injuries when a mini bus met with an accident at Simlegad in Khandachakra Municipality-1, Kalikot.

The deceased has been identified as the assistant driver, Tufan Bam, 20, of Pachaljharana Rural Municiaplity-20 of Kalikot.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Kalikot district hospital. Two of the seriously injured are referred to the hospital in Jumla for further treatment.

Siddharaj Neupane, Chief of the Kalikot District Police Office, said that the bus may have collided due to the high speed on the downhill road.

As the driver of the ill-fated Force mini bus is absconding, the real reason of the accident is yet to be known.
