One dead, two hurt in lightning
Phungling, July 15 : A person died and two others were hurt after being struck by lightning at Meringden Rural Municipality-2 in Taplejung district. The incident occurred at Santhakra village in Meriden on Thursday, killing 15-year-old Lal Kumar Sherpa.
The District Police Office,
Taplejung, said Sherpa died on the spot while working on his farm during the
time of lightning.
Likewise, Nimtemba Sherpa, 19, and
Nim Lhyamu Sherpa, 12, who was hurt by the lightning have returned home
after primary treatment in a local health post, according to the
