TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 29: Cholera has been
confirmed in two more persons in the Kathmandu Valley.
With this, the number of people infected with cholera
has reached 14.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP),
cholera has been confirmed in 14 people in the last 13 days. The first case of
cholera was confirmed on June 16.
Nawaraj Gautam, Information Officer at the Sukraraj
Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH), said that Rapid
Diagnostic Test (RTD) found two persons positive for cholera.
Both are currently receiving treatment in the hospital
and are in normal health condition.
