Paddy plantation festival: foreign tourists enjoy plantation in Pokhara (with photos)

By Ramesh Paudel, Pokhara, June 29: Foreign tourists have also participated and enjoyed paddy plantation in Pokhara.

Pokhara Tourism Council provided joyful moments for the foreign tourists to participate in paddy seedling plantation by organising a plantation festival on the occasion of 19th National Paddy Day and Plantation Festival today.

In the plantation festival held at Maisthan of Hemja in Pokhara Metropolis-10, the paddy plantation was held in 10 ropanis of land.

Tourism entrepreneurs, foreign tourists, and farmers did not only participate in the paddy plantation they also enjoyed competition activities such as running in the mud, singing competitions, tug of war, and fishing in muddy water.

Pom Narayan Shrestha, Chairperson of the Council, said that some 200 foreign tourists participated in the plantation festival.
