Panta appears at Cannes

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, May 20: Actress Surakshya Panta attended the premiere of The Eight Mountains at the 75th Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday.

Gowned in Surakshya, who made her Cannes debut this year, looked stunning. She wore the red gown designed by Tenzin Tseten Bhutia at the festival. Sharing a photo on her Facebook account, Surakshya expressed how her day was.

 She wrote, “I watched the movie ‘The Eight Mountains’ last night with our team and audience here in Cannes. Beautiful journey of friendship between two guys and to share a few scenes with the actor Luca Marinelli under the Direction of Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch. Also Nepal looks beautiful on screen.”

 “Walking on the red carpet was like a surreal moment and getting opportunity to witness one of the biggest ambiences of the celebration for film and storytellers is something I will cherish it throughout my life. It feels like a flicker,” she added.

Panta was the first Nepali actress to walk the red carpet at the Cannes film festival.
