NC's Lama elected Narpabhumi RM Chair

By Belina Thapa, Lamjung, May 14: Nepali Congress candidate Konjo Tenjing Lama has been elected to the post of Narpabhumi Rural Municipality in Manang district.

He secured 158 votes, 47 more than his rival, independent candidate Krishna Bahadur Lama who got 111 votes.

According to the office of the chief election officer, as there was a single candidate for vice-chair of this local level, UML's Mengmar Funcho Lama has been elected unopposed to the post of vice-chair.

Of 448 total voters, 304 had cast their votes in Narpabhumi RM, which calculated to 67.85 voter turnout.
