Three people, including election officer injured in clash in Humla

By Rajan Rawat, Humla, May 13: Three people have been injured including an Election Officer, Krishna Prasad Acharya, in a clash between the coalition party and independent candidate vying for the post of ward chair, Pyari Lal Shahi at Mahadev Secondary Center, Chankheli Rural Municipality-2, Humla.

Eight rounds were fired in the air by police to take the situation under control when the simple clatter aggravated further. The other two injured have been identified as Kala Rawat, polling staff and Lila Shahi, a local. The injured are undergoing treatment at the nearby health centre.

“Polling was put on hold for some time following the clash,” said Sita Pariyar, Chief District Officer, Humla.
