The newly-appointed Minister for Education Raghuji Panta has called the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT) for talks. Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has warned that Meta will be banned in Nepal if not registered within a week. Speaking at the National Information Commission's Programme on Friday, Minister Gurung said that though the government had repeatedly requested to register Meta, it had not followed the Nepal government's request.

Kathmandu, April 25: An earthquake with its epicentre at Phulpingkot of Sindhupalchowk district has been recorded today. The tremor measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred at 11.57 am, according to the Earthquake Measurement and Monitoring Centre, Lainchaur. Earlier, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale and its epicentre at Ranmamaikot had struck at 7.34 pm last evening in Rukum. (RSS)
Kathmandu, April 25: The Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Australia has apprised Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli that the NRN community in Australia wished to increase investments in Nepal. During a meeting with the Prime Minister last night, NRNA Australia President Anil Pokhrel said the NRNs in Australia longed for investing more in Nepal and they wished to see an increased investment-friendly atmosphere here. Talking to RSS, Pokhrel said the meeting primarily focused on these matters. Matters relating to the contribution of Nepali community to the economy of Australia and of Nepal, the utilisation of the trade and investment promotion framework and the strengthening of the bilateral relations were also discussed during the meeting.
