The major ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged as the largest party in the Sudurpashim Province in the counting of votes under the first-past-the-post under the House of Representatives (HoR) polls on November 20.
Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the spokesperson of the Election Commission, informed that process to enter the details about PR votes counted so far in the information system of the EC and that of the office of the chief election officer is underway.
The ruling alliance won majority seats in the recent election to the Member of the Province Assembly in the Karnali Province. The ruling alliance clinched 18 seats followed by five by the CPN (UML) in the ongoing vote count under the first-past-the-post system. In the previous election, the alliance between the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the UML won the highest 20 seats.

When I gained consciousness, I found myself at the side of a road in the jungle. Later on, I knew that a teacher had rescued me saying that I was not a Maoist,”
