NC emerges largest party in Sudurpashim under FPTP counts
The major ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged as the largest party in the Sudurpashim Province in the counting of votes under the first-past-the-post under the House of Representatives (HoR) polls on November 20.
80 per cent of PR votes counted so far
Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the spokesperson of the Election Commission, informed that process to enter the details about PR votes counted so far in the information system of the EC and that of the office of the chief election officer is underway.
Ruling alliance wins majority seats in Karnali PA
The ruling alliance won majority seats in the recent election to the Member of the Province Assembly in the Karnali Province. The ruling alliance clinched 18 seats followed by five by the CPN (UML) in the ongoing vote count under the first-past-the-post system. In the previous election, the alliance between the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the UML won the highest 20 seats.

Poll results except three districts by Tuesday: EC
The Nepali Congress has topped the vote count tally so far under the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly (PA) elections held on November 20. The vote count across the country is ongoing. As per the results update under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category by the Election Commission till this afternoon, the NC has come ahead by winning 53 seats.
Four new cases, active cases stand at 263
In 512 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of three people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Sunday. Whereas, one case has been found in 428 Antigen testing.
Vote count in Sunsari-4 postponed since Saturday evening
The vote count in Sunsari constituency-4 has been postponed since Saturday evening. The Chief Returning Officer Arjun Adhikari said the vote count could not resume yet as local political parties failed to forge a consensus.
NC's Limbu wins HoR seat from Morang-1
Nepali Congress candidate Dig Bahadur Limbu has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Morang constituency-1. He received 25,794 votes.

Counting of votes uncertain in Bajura
The counting of votes of the election to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly held on November 20 has become uncertain in Bajura. The vote counting became uncertain after a complaint was filed at the Election Commission, saying Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) cadres cast fake votes capturing the polling booths at different voting centres in the district.
