CPN (UML) vice-chairman Subas Chandra Nembang has been elected the Member of the House of Representatives from Ilam electoral constituency number 2. According to the District Election Office, leader Nembang won the HoR election by securing 30,020 votes and his closest contender Nepali Congress' Dambar Bahadur Khadka obtained 29,905 votes.
Laxmi Mahato of the CPN (UML) has been elected the Member of the House of Representatives from Mahottari electoral constituency no 1. As per the vote counting results concluded this morning, Mahato defeated his closest competitor Giriraj Mani Pokharel of the CPN (Maoist Centre) by 1,031 votes. The Office of the Election Officer, Mahottari said Mahato secured 24,401 votes and Pokharel 23,370.
The government is short of almost Rs 37 billion which has been allocated for the projects and programmes in the country’s annual budget, and to be doled out by receiving foreign loans and grants.

Deepak Bohara of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Rupandehi-3. Bohara received 36,717 votes while his closest rival Bal Krishna Khand of the Nepali Congress got 34,036 votes, according to Assistant Election Officer, Sobhakhar Kharel.
There are 12 electoral constituencies for the member of the House of Representatives in 10 districts of Karnali Province. Out of 10 districts in the Province, only Surkhet and Dailekh each have two constituencies.

The Nepali Congress candidate Surendra Raj Acharya has won the election to the House of Representatives from Kapilvastu constituency 2. Acharya has received 39,014 votes. Acharya's closest rival Brijesh Kumar Gupta of the CPN (UML) garnered 38,697 votes.
