The Chamber of Industries Morang (CIM) has demanded for an arrangement that the credit to the productive sector will not be counted in credit to deposit (CD) ratio through the monetary policy of the coming fiscal year 2022/23. The organisation suggested the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to make such arrangements for the coming fiscal year to relax the liquidity problem in the banking sector.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated his commitment not to sign any agreement going against the national interest. The government has sought applications from all interested candidates to be appointed in the vacant post of the chairperson of the Film Development Board (FDB). The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) issued a notice on Sunday, seeking applications for the top post at the FDB. The eligible candidate should be aged between 30 and 65 years with a certificate of Bachelor’s Degree. He or she must have worked for at least 10 years continuously in the establishment, development, preservation and promotion of Nepali film industry.

A newly constructed 4G tower in Okhren of Simkot Rural Municipality-7 has come into operation. With the operation of the tower constructed by Nepal Telecom, mobile service has become smooth and the local service recipients of the place have felt convenient. One local Mandir Singh said that the service recipients of Simkot Rural Municipality and Namkha Rural Municipality have been connected to the communication network when the 4G tower came into operation after a year of constant efforts.
The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has released the third issue of the Industrial Status Report after studying the industrial activities of Nepali industries. Detailed statistics of manufacturing and service sector industries in the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2021/22 have been included in the report. The report shows that industries exploited 71 per cent of their total production capacity during the period.
